I chose this magazine because I used to have a subscription for Vanity Fair and was in love with how elegant the covers were. My favorite cover that they have ever had was of Beyonce in black and white. That was the cover that inspired the layout of my cover.
To emulate the cover style, I made it black and white and changed the font to the exact font that Vanity Fair uses with the person’s name in bold. I used the text, “Modern”, and that used the classic white and red colors. The entire cover I wanted to be surrounded by Jessamene’s portrait. I wanted relevant cover stories surrounding her and I wanted her to be the main focus.
